The official website for the Farewell, My Dear Cramer, anime revealed on Sunday that that Mikako Komatsu will perform the television anime’s ending theme song “Kuyashii koto wa Kettobase.” Additionally, Aika Kobayashi will perform the opening theme song “Ambitious Goal.” This is great news, as we’ve been covering the show closely since its announcement.
Kodansha also plans to release the manga in print. The company describes the manga:
With no soccer accomplishments to speak of during the entirety of Sumire Suo’s junior high school years, the young wing gets an odd offer. Suo’s main rival, Midori Soshizaki, invites her to join up on the same team in high school, with a promise that she’ll never let Suo “play alone.” It’s an earnest offer, but the question is whether Suo will take her up on it. Thus, the curtain opens on a story that collects an enormous cast of individual soccer-playing personalities!

Farewell, My Dear Cramer, will premiere in Japan on April 4. There is no news as to whether Crunchyroll or Funimation will stream the anime.
The anime also has a film component titled, Eiga Sayonara Watashi no Cramer First Touch that will premiere in Japan early this summer. The film’s story will adapt the Sayonara, Football prequel manga.
Toei is distributing the film. Aika Kobayashi is performing the film’s theme song “Sora wa Dare ka no Mono Ja Nai.”
Seiki Takuno is directing the TV series and film at LIDEN FILMS, and Natsuko Takahashi writing the script. Eriko Itō is designing the characters, and Masaru Yokoyama, who worked on series like Your Lie in April and Fruits Basket, is composing the music for Farewell, My Dear Cramer .
