Last Friday, Warner Bros. Japan and Sunborn Networks Technology Co. confirmed the anime adaption of the popular mobile game Girls’ Frontline.
Girls’ Frontline takes place in a war-ridden future where T-Dolls, or tactical dolls, are used in combat instead of human beings. There aren’t many humans in the world due to the Collapse Fluid, which makes the area uninhabitable due to contamination and toxicity.
The AI group called Sangvis Ferri rebels and the T-dolls and robots kill their human masters. In response, the military dispatches the private military company Grifon & Kryuger to halt Sangvis Ferri’s attack and successfully eliminate them. You play as a G&K commander that’s been recently promoted. The storyline and game follows you as well as your AR Term.
The game involves gacha and strategy elements, as well as alot of inventory management and material grinding. The game was created by the China-based studio MICA Team and was released on May 20, 2016 in Mainland China. An English version was later released on May 8, 2018. A Japanese version, which was retitled as Dolls’ Frontline, was released on August 1, 2018.
There has been no announcement of a premiere date. However, the announcement said that it will be sometime this year.
