Kaguya and Shirogane develop feelings for each other but refuse to confess. Due to their pride, they believe that whoever confesses first is the “loser” and is of lower status compared to the other. As a result, Kaguya and Shirogane create a love battlefield to make the other confess first!

Hirano Sho, who has stared in Boys over Flowers Season 2 and You, I Love, plays Shirogane in the Kaguya-sama: Love is War live-action movie. Here is what he has to say when asked about the movie’s highlights:
“This work is full of highlights so I hope you enjoy watching it (laughs). Shirogane and Kaguya’s interactions are especially cute. I think this work is very lovely so I’d be happy if the viewers could feel that way.”

Hashimoto Kanna, who has stared in Gintama‘s and The Disastrous Life of Saiki K‘s live-action movies, plays Kaguya. Here is what she commented:
“There are various episodes that are condensed, such as the fun conversations in the student council room and the moving fireworks scene. The details of the content is what makes this work so charming. Besides, I think it’s interesting as if it came out of the original work. Fortunately, many people have already seen it, but many people say that [these scenes] are interesting no matter how many times they see it. So, if you’ve already seen it, please take this opportunity to see it again.”

The Kaguya-sama: Love is War live-action movie first premiered in Japan on September 6, 2019. It ran 2 hours long and earned 2 billion yen.
