Jujutsu Kaisen Translator Arrested

On December 7 of 2020, Jujutsu Kaisen manga translator Stefan Koza was arrested by the Virginia Herndon Police department on counts of possession and distribution of child pornography.

The arrest was made as part of a collaborative investigation with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce. It is unknown as to whether or not the investigation involved multiple parties or just Koza alone. Koza’s hearing date is set to take place on March 3, 2021.

Currently, he is being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on five counts each of the aforementioned crimes.

Koza, also known online as “Steady Studios”, was an English-language translator for multiple Shonen Jump manga that you might have heard of. Some of these titles are Ghost Reaper Girl and Tokyo Shinobi Squad.

Seeing as this news just breaking, it is not yet known who will be taking over as English translator on the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, but I imagine that they will quite obviously be needing to find a replacement as soon as possible.

We apologize for the daily reminder that the internet can be a very scary place.
