The Gin-Iro-Neko Tea Salon, famous for its high-quality drinks and anime collaborations, in Ginza will begin offering drinks inspired by Mob Psycho 100 characters. This offer will run exclusively from January 7 to February 28.
Compared to other anime-themed cafés, Gin-Iro-Neko won’t be serving drinks depicting the characters’ faces. Rather, these drinks will contain ingredients associated with its respective character. Each drink will also have alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
Below are the menu items:
The first drink is inspired by the titular character Mob, otherwise known as Kageyama Shigeo. This drink is layered with tea and milk and has a chamomile and honey aroma. It is also topped with apple, milk, mint, and white rum. The choice of milk is inspired by Mob’s love for milk. Additionally, Mob’s calm demeanor may be the reason for the chamomile and honey aroma.
The second drink is inspired by Mob’s little brother, Kageyama Ritsu. Unlike his brother’s calming drink, Ritsu’s will give you a kick. The drink contains orange marmalade to give a sweet and sour taste. It is topped with orange marmalade, grapefruit juice, blue curacao syrup, mint, and white rum. Like Mob’s drink, Ritsu’s will have two layers, one of tea and the other of juice.
The next drink on the menu is inspired by Arataka Reigen. This drink is made of citrus tea topped with white grapefruit. Salt lines the rim of the glass to reference Reigen’s “Salt Splash” attack. The drink is topped with white grapefruit, a lemon slice, salt, and gin. Despite alcoholic and non-alcoholic options being available, this drink is more suited for adults.
Next up is Hanazawa Teruki. Like Teruki, the drink comes with yellow sugar sticks to add a sparkle and slight sweetness when mixed into the drink. The drink itself is made up of pineapple and fruit tea, giving it a bit of a sweet and sour taste. Toppings include the sugar stick, golden pineapple, mint, and white rum.
The last drink on the menu is inspired by Ekubo. This very Ekubo-shaped drink is made of green chai tea and is topped with matcha whipped cream, matcha powder, red pepper, and gin. The red pepper adds a bit of spice to the sweet drink.
Prices for the drinks will be 1,200 yen each. Gin-Iro-Neko Tea Salon will also offer Mob Psycho 100 character-inspired hot and iced teas that will cost 800 yen. There will also be Mob Psycho 100 tea bags sold exclusively at Gin-Iro-Neko Tea Salon. There will be two options for customers to pick from. The first will be five tea bags contained in letter packaging and will cost 1,250 yen. The second will be seven tea bags in a can and will cost 1,800 yen.
