Bummer for fans of KING’S RAID: Successors of the Will Also known as King’s Raid: Ishi o Tsugumono-Tachi in Japan. The official website has stated that due to a slew of unfortunate circumstances, they are canceling the release of six planned Blue- Ray box sets.
It’s a painful reality when something you care about gets canceled, but hey chief, it’s 2020, you better have gotten good at revaluating what’s important by this point! The original series currently airs on FUNimation’s streaming service and will run 26 episodes, an unusual and welcome length in an era of 12 episode series.
The original mobile game, King’s Raid, in which the series is based, takes place in the continent of Orbis. It follows your typical high fantasy realm where a young knight must discover what has happened to his missing brother. In a typical magical, high fantasy, anime fashion, he encounters magical allies from his youth and on his journey to help him on his goal. Hijinks ensue, friendships are forged, and good times are had by all. Well, as good as a time you can have when your Blue-Ray box set is delayed for the foreseeable future.
